  • Tyler Rentmeister

    Tyler was first introduced to yoga by his Mom some 15 years ago as a means of recovering from sports related injuries, whereupon (and with the help of Judy McNicol) it evolved into a passion. In 2016, Tyler completed his 200 Hour Do Something! Yoga Teacher Training Course with Sylvie Boisclair in Yellowknife. The experience and relationships he made throughout this time motivated him to share his practice, and continue to learn and grow as an instructor.

  • Cora Rentmeister

    Cora is an experienced yoga teacher with over 15 years of practice. Since 2008 she has devoted herself to continuous learning and growth, completing her 200-Hour "Becoming Balance" Yoga Teacher Training in Bali with Daniel Rama and Sara Bonsall in 2019. Her classes are diverse, ranging from strong to gentle, incorporating guided meditation, verbal cues, and affirmations to create a space for self-inquiry and calmness. She is deeply passionate about yogic philosophy, eager in sharing the transformative power of yoga with her students, empowering them to embark on their own transformative journey.

  • Anne-Marie Guedon

    Teacher

    Anne-Marie is an E-RYT who began practicing yoga in 2003, teaching in 2007, and with Taiga since 2010. She first attained a 200 Hour Hatha Certification from Rama Lotus in Ottawa, and has over 1000 Hours of teaching experience since. Additional Certifications include Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and PranaDanda. At present she's pursuing a 300 Hour Advanced Teaching Certification in PranaVinyasa yoga with Shiva Rea, and recently completed Pilates Mat Teacher Training with Body Harmonics in Montreal; now teaching Taiga Pilates classes. She believes yoga can be a tool for self-care and self-awareness, both psychologically and physically.

  • Kate Mansfield

    Kate has been practicing yoga since moving to the north from Ontario in 2011. In 2013 she completed 200 Hours YTT training at Yandara Yoga in Baja Mexico where she specialized in Vinyasa and Hatha. Kate’s practice and teaching style are rooted in the belief we are all incredible creations and deserve to feel good in our bodies; if we crave movement we should move, if we crave stillness we should rest, and we all deserve the space to ask ourselves what we need.

    Amanda gets immense joy out of teaching yoga. After twenty years of practice, she completed Kate Covello's 200 Hour Land and Heart Practice Yoga Teacher Training, and is incredibly excited to give back to the yoga community in Taiga.

  • Trina Ohler

    Teacher

    Trina Ohler has been practicing yoga for over 30 years and became a certified teacher in 2024 after completing a 200-hour training in Costa Rica. For her, yoga is a way of life that maintains flexibility, strength, and mindfulness.

    Her classes focus on breathing, movement, and holding poses to build strength and flexibility. She challenges her students with standing poses and inversions, promoting growth in their practice. Trina's approach focuses on strengthening the body to prevent injuries and promote healing.

    She believes a yoga practice can prolong one's life, making it more enjoyable, peaceful, and pain-free.

    In 2020, Sarah completed her 200-hour YTT online through Sadhana Yoga School. Her yoga teaching journey began by offering trauma-informed yoga as an extracurricular activity for school-aged youth in the North. Specializing in blending therapy and yoga to calm the nervous system, Sarah’s classes at Taiga Yoga aim to guide participants towards a parasympathetic state, promoting deep relaxation, healing, and overall well-being.

    Stacia Kean is a heart centered yoga teacher with a deep curiosity and passion for the healing practices of yin and restorative yoga. Her teaching style is rooted in creating a welcoming space for students to unwind and connect with their body and inner self. Stacia’s classes are designed to help release tension, find deep relaxation, and cultivate more space in both body and mind.

    She believes that practicing together creates a collective energy that is uplifting and inspiring. Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced yogi, she looks forward to sharing this experience with you in her class.

  • Chantelle Masson

    Chantelle has been practicing yoga since 2012, receiving her YTT Certificate in 2017 in Iqaluit, as well as completing other yoga trainings, such as Yin Yoga Training, The Art of Assists, Vinyasa and Kundalini to name a few. Chantelle is passionate about finding serenity and strength in flow styles, surrender and self love in restorative poses, and calming quietness in Savasana. Additionally, she is passionate about incorporating music and creating playlists to match each class, and always delighted to chat further about yoga after class!

  • Angela Waller

    Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice

    Angela is a Manual Osteopath. She graduated from the National Academy of Osteopathy in February, 2017 with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice after completing a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier University. Angela is an active member of the National Manual Osteopathic Society and works under the principles set out by Andrew Taylor Still, the founder of Osteopathy, stating that health and well-being depends on the whole body working as a unit. Angela is currently accepting clients.

  • Melanie Parker

    Substitute Teacher

    Melanie first discovered yoga in her early twenties on VHS tape. Exploring a variety of styles and studios, she continued to deepen her practice, and credits yoga with keeping her safe and strong whilst playing contact sports. In 2020, Melanie completed her 200 Hour Online Yoga Teachers Training, and sees her journey through both yoga and motherhood as being closely linked, giving her the requisite experience to teach Rainbow Yoga for children. Each day she enjoys finding ways of incorporating practice into everyday life!
